I'm out of supplies for my suburban, am thinking of changing to Havoline Smart Change 5w30, as she takes 6qt. ACDelco is non existent in my area and too expensive online. Also may go to Smart Change 5w20 for MKX, also holds 6qt.

Wow, you win today's award for most loyal follower of OEM oils.
Happy New Year and I'll bet you were chilled, after doing three oil changes in northerly Ohio in January.

It was a nice day yesterday here in Michigan, near 50 degrees on my front porch thermometer.

Happy New Year! Weather has been mild here so far, around 50 and sunny yesterday. Only change the suburban outside, others fit in the garage nicely for maintenance. Yes, love me some OEM, wipers, filters, plugs, brakes etc.. with online purchases, can be just as cost effective as in store, just my preference, to each his own!

Wow TGMO and Motorcraft!

Fiancee's 2018 Civic LX Hatchback 1.5T 6MT

Out: Edge 0W-20, OEM Honda Filter

In: Valvoline Modern Engine 0W-20, OEM Honda filter

Left the Edge in a bit longer than I meant to. A little over 6200 miles. Plan is to do 5000-mile OCIs at most. Got away from me this time.

I did take a sample and will be sending to the lab. She was working only 3 miles from her job during much of the time this oil was in, so I hate to think how much fuel is in it.

Now she has a different job and she's more like 12 miles or so away. So, the oil shouldn't get diluted with fuel as much.

Sure was nice knowing I only paid $2/quart for that oil (Auto Zone clearance).

2016 Buick LaCrosse, V-6

Out: Unknown oil from Subaru dealer, 4.5 months/approx. 4000 miles on it, at 38,170 mi.

In: dexos 5W-30 (not sure of brand, as my regular mechanic did the change -- I told him any dexos in the right viscosity), AC Delco oil filter. (I swapped him back the 0W-40 Edge and the two Mann filters I'd bought for the BMW just before it was totaled, so my only cost was his labor.)

Also had the tires rotated and a cabin filter installed. I'll do the engine air filter this month myself, so that I can draw a baseline at 40K miles.
