Well actually the oil pressure gauge was bouncing all over the place with the 5w20 and the puralator filter. As soon as I swapped to the CE 5w30 and the fram ultra it stopped. It instantly started working fine and hasn't went crazy again. I will keep you posted on the results. I plan on a 5k OCI.

I did a cross section of the oil filter out of curiosity. I've never cross sectioned a cartridge filter, but I'm surprised at how it feels like a skinny, stiff piece of cardboard. I found one shiny little speck in my cross section. I plan on changing it again at 5000 miles and doing a used oil analysis to see how the oil is holding up to the little 1.4l turbo and adjusting from there. They were out of Pennzoil Platinum 5w30 at the store, so I went with another bitog favorite and my second choice, Quaker State Ultimate Durability. Anyway, happy 4th everyone and enjoy!
