2005 Honda Civic LX 55K miles. Nice car.
Owned by my friend's Mom; she no longer drives so he got the car.
He rides those Harleys, so the car kinda sits.
Out: Oil shop swill; Mighty filter. Dirty
In: MaxLife 5w20; Fram UG7317
Used MaxLife to clean her up a little and that's what was on the shelf.
Also serviced the trans, filled all the fluids and aired up the tires.
Oh yeah, cabin air filter was original as well...
Next time I will service the brake and PS fluid.

5k OCI on Mobil1 5w30 since I got the car a few years ago at 30k miles, runs and revvs like new and doesn't leak or burn any oil. Yeah I know I could go longer with EP, Annual, Amsoil SS, Redline ect but the VQ37 is hard on oil, and I'd rather be safe the sorry.

So you were 3 qts low on a 6.6qt sump at the OCI?
Both my Toyota v6s in the my signature just got dealer supplied synthetic oil(probably 0w20..didn't ask) I will Run it for 6 months or 5k, dump and fill with heavier oilsfor summer till the year or 10 k with out a filter change planned.
Taking advantage of the Toyota care maintenance but keeping to a severe service schedule on both.
I was real happy with the both the M1 0w40 and the Castrol magnetec 5w30 in these GR engines.they aren't picky.may try 10w30 Magnetec next since I am back in Texas. Will start taking performance samples after the Toyota care maintenance is used up but the power train warranties are intact.
