The last three oil changes in the Matrix have been with Valvoline conventional 5w30 and a Valvoline filter. Nice combination. The last oil change was free since they sent me a coupon at a local tire shop. Normal coupon price is $25, Maxlife $35 and full synthetic $45. Also includes free tire rotation.

2016 Colorado, baby DMax...yes, it's an engine that runs on diesel.
15,500km on the last service, OLM down to 2%. Hopefully a proper Dexos2 5W30.

Took my own oil to Holden...they installed it no question.


Penrite Enviro+ 5W40, Dexos 2, C3.

Already, the car starts and idles.
Has throttle response and makes muffled running noises
When I apply the throttle (misnomer on a diesel), the car accelerates.
Am a bit worried, as the tank is full, and if it markedly improves economy, I may have to drain some out to stop it overflowing.
