Out: Pennzoil Platinum 5w30 and a Bosch Distance Plus D3330.
In: Pennzoil Platinum 5w30 and a Denso filter.
OCI: 5889 miles

I cut open the old filter and when I went to pull the filter media "assembly" out of the can the top metal plate just came off. It wasn't glued on.

I'll post photos in the oil filter section after I let the filter drain of excess oil.

This was the longest oil change interval I've ever had in my many years of driving and maintaining various cars. From visual inspection (for what that's worth) the Pennzoil seems to have held up fine. The car used about 1 qt over the interval.

We've put 20K on this car since buying it a year and a half ago.
It was my winter beater and remains my beater commuter.
Yeah, the engine sounded smoother and quieter with the fresh G-Oil.
I still have four jugs of FAR G-Oil remaining as well as a number of cheap after coupon code P1s.
Maybe the P1s will tear and have torn and maybe not.
