Became a 'mad chemist' this morning. I've been mixing for over 20 years, and never have had a bad experience to my knowledge. Not for the weak-of-heart..

3 quarts Formula Shell 5/30
1 quart Pennzoil 5w30 conventional
1 quart Oreilly Syn 5/30
Protech filter.

Last change was Mobil 5000 super, Super Tech Filter. Changed at 5100 miles.

Once again, he brought the car with low oil, I'd say 2.75qts in the sump

Probably went too long on the OCI too. Oh, and of course, the car runs very well, go figure.

This is my spring/summer/fall oil for both vehicles. I'll do the same change again in 4 months and about 5k miles. I'll then go to probably Quaker State Ultimate Durability for my December through March winter change.
