Post your latest oil change

2021 Ford Ranger 2.3 EB.

Had just under 4,500 miles on this oil change. Way under what I “could’ve” done, but I spent 400 miles towing and another 200 miles in Western MD going up and down the mountains as well as a little camping adventure. OLM was at 55% (could care less), but typically I’ve seen it at about 65% at my typical oil change timing which is roughly 4,500 miles. Obviously my truck’s computer knew I was pushing it more than usual.

I'd run the best filter possible and only change it every other service. If I recall correctly, these have one of the worst filter locations. Like they built the truck around the filter.. like a fender well battery in a Chrysler lol.

1989 Mazda B2200 111,624 on odometer yes it is original miles. Roughly 3,000 on oil a little less actually been in there for 1.5 years so since it finally stopped raining I decided to change it.

I have several quarts and 5 quart jugs of the 10W-40 GTX white bottle. I cleaned out every Walmart in the area when they closed it out. Can’t find the Castrol Classics formula anymore. I liked it for the high zinc. I have some of the Valvoline Racing formula with high zinc but want to use some of this Castrol up as it’s older. I know this truck only takes 4.3 but I go ahead and use 5 since the rear main has sprung a slight leak and the valve cover is leaking a little too. I plan to fix the valve cover soon whenever dad will stop driving it long enough for me too. I’m trying to keep miles off of it since it’s a pretty uncommon truck these days but dad refuses to drive my Camry without reverse and his is knocking but not a bad engine knock.

It’s a terrible location, but with the grip on the fram ultra it has actually been very easy. Lol
