Put in some M1 EP 0w20 he brought and NAPA Gold 10590 oil filter. Engine is 3.0 “twin turbo”. Cut and post coming soon of factory filter. A teaser: it’s not a Purolator BUT a ECORE 😱😱😱

Out: Pennzoil Platinum 5W30 and Penn filter
IN: Quaker State Full Syn 5W30 and Wix filter
~114k on the clock, 6,800 on the previous oil

Too hot to do in the garage so took it in to a new quick lube place that lets you bring your own oil and filter.

Why not just pour the whole jug into it and be done with it? What are you doing with 1/5 of a quart.

2016 F-150 2.7 Ecoboost 78,130 miles on engine. 9K. on oil
Out: Schaeffer's Supreme 9000 5W30 and Motorcraft filter
In: 5 quarts Valvoline Full synthetic and 1 quart Castrol Edge both 10W30 and a Motorcraft filter
If you are first & last owner, change that Ecoboost P/U oil every 5K. Matters-not if it's Schaeffers, Amsoil, Red Line.....etc..
I see you moved to Valvoline and Motorcraft. In doing so, the move to 5k OCIs benefits your engine even more.

My opinion in what I've seen with my neighbor's 2.7 Ecoboost. He used semi-syn and needed an engine teardown at around 100k. Pulled a 26ft 4.4kwt travel popup trailer 3-4 times per year for 500 miles round-trip on basically flat land...... that's it.

2007 Focus 2.0L. 204,955 miles, 5,253 OCI.

Out - Dealer bulk 5w20 (supposedly Motorcraft semi), Motorcraft FL-910S

In - 4 1/2 qts PP 5w20, Motorcraft FL-910S

Rarely use a dealer, but it was done with a discount coupon. I guess they had King Kong install the filter and drain plug, not fun getting them loose.
