Post your latest oil change

2016 Ford Fusion 2.0 ecoboost. 5.7 qts 5w30 Supertech Full Synthetic oil, PH3614 Fram extra guard oil filter. This run was for 4 months and a little less than 3,000 miles. A lot of short trips and car sitting at idle remote starts. The oil has always smelt like fuel, but during the winter months it seems worse. I usually go 5,000 miles, especially during warmer months and longer trips. Car has 65,000 miles and has been pretty reliable, lots of power and the AWD system has surprised me with how well the winter traction has been.

First oil change for my newly acquired 1999 Honda Civic LX. I bought it for $2,600. I’ve spent the last couple of months updating the maintenance and fixing things that were not working.

So far I’ve completed

—a full tuneup (distributor cap, rotor, spark plug wires and spark plugs
—Replaced rear lower control arms, camber arms and hardware
—Replaced struts with coilovers
—Bought new tires/wheels
—Replaced the radio and speakers
—Replaced front headlight buckets and bulbs
—Replaced rear tail lamps
—Replaced front pipe and cat
—I’m slowly working through several transmission drain and fills with Redline D4.

I still have to replace the front brake rotors and pads and do a timing belt service. Car is running great and I am having fun driving and working on it.

On to the oil change—221,574 miles

Out: Valvoline conventional 5w30 and Valvoline oil filter. (Info per Carfax, work was done at a Valvoline Instant Oil Change)

In: Pennzoil Platinum 5w-30 and an Altrom Ultra 8 oil filter.

I don't know if they still make them but if you're going to put a timing belt in there I would try to see if you can get one from GReddy. They're a tad bit more expensive but they're designed for a hardware and tear. Even if you weren't going to Hot rod it they're such a pain in the butt to do that it may be worth it to have a little bit of extra wiggle room and reliability. Thanks for posting I'd like to see further what you get done what it looks like

Topped off the other day a 2008 Nissan Altima 2.5 with a quart and some change of QSFSHM 5w30, LM Motor Oil Saver, Mos2. Car head leaks and oil everywhere hoping just to slow down some consumption and has way over 200,000 miles.

According to some here who state that Mobil 1 EP oils have improved their base stock / additives in the GF-6 SP D1 / Gen 3 oils to be some of the best easily available synthetic oils you can buy for a great price $26 @ WM) . The Fram Ultra #9688 is what I use with my Hyundai 2.4L GDI engine and has never been an issue and works great ... Great choice in oil and oil filter for your Tucson !
