This oil was some old stuff, 2017 vintage...

Filter is an oddball size filter, the PH2 size filter is a pain to get out and makes a mess, this one is just as long, just not a big around.

Planned OCI is unknown.
This thing uses a qt every 1,200 miles or so and does not get driven much, I figure maybe 4 years/10,000 miles (if I even keep it that long)?
I mean this last interval was over 2 years and right at 5,000 miles with 3 or 4 qts of top off oil (was about due for another top off, part of why I decided to change).
At 7000 miles from now it basically will have had 6 qts top off oil (6 qt sump), and with the Ultra, figure what the heck.
I have 6 more quarts of PP HM 0w-20, so may just use all that then change.

2010 Chevy Silverado with 176,000 miles.

Out: Quaker State 5W30 and Champion Filter.
In: Pennzoil Platinum 5w30 and Champion 10575 oil filter.

6,000 mile run on oil and filter.

The Champions were left over from a long-ago clearance at Rock Auto. Also lubed the upper and lower ball joints and tie rod ends, on replacement units. Checked the rear diff. The plug was seized and needed liquid wrench and several shots of my Milwaukee 3/8 drive impact wrench with a short socket extension. Came off with rust specs flying. Always wear safety glasses.

2018 Ford Escape 2.0 ecoboost
63,000 miles
Out: Quaker state FS 5w30 and a Fram TG3614
In: Havoline FS 5w30 and a Fram PH3614.

I noticed that the QS was black as coal and smelled awful! Not like fuel but just strong used oil smell. Filled my garage with the smell. It was my first time using GTL based oil so this might be normal but for 3,000 miles it was way dirtier than anything I’ve used before.

2011 Honda Civic EX-L, Miles: 123,688
Just purchased this car from a young lady, so not quite sure what oil was in it, something bulk from a shop.

Out/Off:
Unknown oil, Napa ProSelect filter 27356 (made in china). (I cut it open, I will get some pictures up soon)

In/On:
Mobil Clean 5,000 5W30 and a Purolator PureOne PL14610 filter.

Also did 3 spill and fills on the tranny with Honda DW-1 ATF and a Honda OEM tranny filter.

Also replaced the cabin air filter with one of those Fram CV10134 "N95" cabin air filters, I know it's a gimmick but it was right in front of me at Wally World, made in the USA and didn't smell like nasty chemicals (febreeze), so I figured I'd give it a shot.

2017 Ford Escape, 2.0L Ecoboost

Odo at change: 134,149
Out: 6qt of pre-blend (5qt QSE 5w-40, 1qt ETO2380, 1qt Traveller SAE 40)
OCI Hours: 199
OCI Miles: 134,149 - 126,282 = 7,867

Off: Fram PH3600
Hours on filter: 199
Miles on filter: 7,867

In: QSAD 5w-30 API SP
On: Fram XG3600

Good notes: The oil level stayed at the top of the hash marks the whole OCI--no rising dipstick anymore. No oil burning either.

Oil changed at Walmart. They removed the drainplug to drain. After draining, they then told me they couldn't use the oil I brought because it came in an opened container. After a little back and forth between their liabilities (of which they didn't want to release any liabilities over to me,) they agreed to just put in QSAD 5w-30 at a pit crew rate. The oil nut in me was sad, but I really shouldn't complain about it. Starting plan is to take this out to 100 hours.
