Decided to change when the blot test was showing overall blot darkening, plus an inner halo. I am tending to just change the oil when it gets this way and is clearly dark from a dipstick wipe as it seems to be a simplest approach...Very slightly lower consumption this OCI. Did an alcohol flush before draining--poured in 12oz when the engine was already warmed, turned it on and ran for 30 seconds, turned it off, and drained.

Changed the rear differential oil and transmission oil as well this weekend.
Transmission out: unknown, PO's blend (looked red and transparent and didn't smell typical, maybe RL 75w90 NS?)
Transmission in: Motul Gear 300 75w90 GL-5
Miles on oil: unknown, est 40,000 .... (910 hours,
minimum est)
Drain plug was well coated up with metal, maybe 3 mLs?
Differential out: Supertech 80w90
Differential in: 3 parts Supertech 80w90 and 1 part Redline shockproof lightweight
Miles on oil: roughly 40,000 (910 hours)
Drain plug wasn't too covered with metal, but the oil came out looking kinda dark. Kinda like Cola without the redness.
