Post your latest oil change

15 Camry Hybrid - 85K
Out: M1 0W40
In: M1 EP HM 0W20
Filter: Fram Ultra

Decided to go thin this time. The car will sit outside this winter and is being driven for longer periods of time, so MPG gain would be welcome.

2018 Jeep JL Wrangler 3.6 Pentastar, 50k miles
Out: Mobil 1 AFE 0w20, 4250 miles
In: Shell RGT 0w20, from my stash of clearance oil I bought 2 years or so ago.

Filter: Fram Ultra, no change with only 4250 miles on it. I'll keep this oil in there for 5k and will swap the filter at the next one. Plenty of life and capacity left in this one.

I did this OCI early due to a big off-road trip to the northern part of the Appalachian Byway coming up later this week. It was a no-brainer when I'm sitting on a stash of about 25 quarts of RGT that is now 1.5 to 2 years old. I'm also going to run it in my JK and Renegade, so we'll whittle it down.

When my dad was looking for an Escape I specifically made sure he got one with the 2.5L and neither of the EBs, there's not that many of them on the used market with the 2.5 versus the 1.5 or 1.6 ecoboost.
I agree. I didn't want or need the Ecoboost.

2009 Ford Fusion SE, 6 mo/12.5 km since last change

Out: Supertech FS 5W20, Wix Filter
In: Pennzoil Plat HM 0W20, Motorcraft Filter

Normally would have pushed this change another month or so to do it at the same time as my winter tires, but mileage was creeping up so did it early.

Lost about a quart of oil between changes, either burning or seepage. No big deal!

How many miles (not kms) on the Fusion?

2003 VW Passat W8. 110,130 mi. 2,553 mi OCI.

Out: ~8L Liquimoly Leichtlauf High Tech 5W40, ~0.6L LM MoS2, ~0.6L LM Motor Oil Saver, ~8oz Seafoam (for last ~150 miles), Hangste filter

In: 9L Quaker State Ultimate Durability Full Synthetic European 5W40, Napa Gold filter ($24..holy crap!)

Had the dreaded stuck cam adjuster - v. common issue and one of the ones that gives the W8 its repuation. Is intermittent at this point, some times you start it and it's stuck/idles rough, restart and it's gone b/c the solenoid gets cycled and clears itself. Many in the W8 community have reported some flushing/Seafoam can help/sort it out, it's cheap, why not. Probably a piece of the oil screen stuck in there which is the usual culprit. Will run this for a few '00 miles, then flush with Liquimoy Engine Flush and refil with the Leichtlauf kit from FCP Euro - return what came out for Lifetime Replacement. The QSUD wasn't on sale beyond the normal $18 price for 5 qts, it's a rural Walmart and they haven't sold a jug in months...just sitting there on the bottom shelf looking sad. Maybe one day they will drop the price and I'll buy the rest. Perfect for this task!
