2017 Toyota Camry 27,288 miles 5,000
Out: 5 quarts of Mobil 1 0W-20
Off: Mobil 1 cartridge filter
In: 5 quarts of Castrol Edge 0W-20
On: Mobil 1 cartridge filter

Had about 2,000 on the oil but it has been awhile since it was changed I think close to a year and so my dad said go ahead and do it. We were going to put Mobil 1 back in it but all of the Walmart stores were completely sold out of just about everything so the Castrol was our only option besides Royal Purple. But it’s a great oil I like Castrol so I’m sure it will be fine we were just keeping the same thing going in it because it was doing fine. I think the oil capacity is actually 4.8 quarts but I have a hard time stopping on time lol.

Did my buddies 2016 civic 1.5T earlier.

Out: Pennzoil Black Label 0W20 and PH7317

In: Valvoline 0W20 and PH7317

I think he put about 6-7k on the oil since I did it last. Not sure, he mainly goes by the oil life and changes it around 30%.

Also did a rotation and found a bubble in his sidewall so I bought 2 Goodyear tires at Walmart on clearance and threw those on for him too. I hope they don't give him any trouble cuz they were the ones we always had issues with when I worked there.

He was salty cuz Walmart was out of everything Pennzoil so he settled for Valvoline.

And did another buddies 2013 Mazda speed3 2.3 turbo

Out: unknown oil and pro tec filter

In: Thrive synthetic 5W30 and OEM filter

The oil came out so thick and dark I swear it was Diesel oil. Told him to stick to 3k oil changes because he beats on it and the timing chains are an issue with the turbo motors. Hopefully it gives him many trouble free miles.

2002 Xterra 285,000km 3.3L Supercharged

Out: M1 5w30 and M1 Filter - No noticeable consumption on the dipstick in 7000km
In: Shell Rotella Gas Truck and a fram XG7317

First time I noticed the RGT in stores near me so I decided to give it a try.

2018 Acura RDX Technology
28,004 miles
OCI: 8 months, 4132 miles, my first OC since purchase

Out: Florida Cadillac dealer's ACDelco synthetic 5w-30, Honda filter
In: Pennzoil Ultimate Platinum 5w-20, Carquest Blue filter
In my NC and FL climates, I don't need no stinking 0w-20.

Compared to other Hondas and Acuras I've owned since 1990, removing this oil filter was a pain in the butt, with oil leaking along a cross member. Next time I'll use a plastic bag. Never saw this before on Honda or Acura vehicles. And the oil fill cap is tough to reach also. Poor design.

Just did the 20K oil change on the 2018 Camry Hybrid SE. Oil had about 5,000 miles on it.

On this particular vehicle, I did it originally (early) at like 1,500 miles on the ODO, but then did the dealer freebies at 7,500 and 15,000.

I never have such a hard time removing an oil filter in my life.... I have two tools to help remove filters, including the Toyota 'cap' end tool. Well, neither worked and completely stripped the 'grip'/grooves in the end of the filter. After about 30 minutes of fighting it, hammered a screwdriver through the side to give me more leverage. It just started to give, thankfully. Once I got it moved about 5-10 degrees, had to hammer another hole through and with the help of the screwdriver and filter removal tool, was able to get it going.

Was messy and frustrating, to say the least. A gorilla must have installed the previous filter. I have had some fighters in the past, but never to the point of having to hammer a screwdriver through it!

Filled up with M1 0W16 and a FRAM Ultra Synthetic XG4967 filter. At least next time should go far smoother!

I just did my first oil change on my 2021 Nissan Frontier 3.8 v6 4x4 with 5020 miles on the factory fill oil, which I have sent in to Blackstone and am waiting on a report. I refilled with 5 quarts Supertech 0/20 and a Mahle, made in Japan, factory oil filter. The filter was under $11 and the oil under $18.
