Post your latest oil change

My 1992 f-250, I changed the oil and at 2300 miles it was kind of dirty. I kept joking that I've added so much oil that it should have been cleaner. Maybe the Marvel mystery one-quart oil top off did its job in the fifty miles it was used. I put in SuperTech 5-30 high mileage full synthetic. and a Motorcraft Fl-1A filter. I changed the oil when I first got the truck and it has sat a lot since then, The rear main seal used to leak and mark its spot and now it doesn't. I'm not sure what Maricle has happened but now I have to figure out why my truck uses oil. It doesn't smoke or leave spots on the ground. I bought my oil online from Wall Mart, two jugs and a filter were enough for free shipping.

This is not the latest oil change, but it is typical. Motor oil + filter sale of Mobil1 High Mileage and Purolator Classic filter. I usually buy the O'Reilly brand 5w-20 conventional oil + MicroGard filter combo that's regularly on sale. I change it when the Maintenance Minder pops a notice or right before a long trip.

Had around 148k when I glanced at the odometer. She uses the oil light so no idea on mileage. About 3 months I think.

My 2020 Mirage 1.2

Out: Mobil1 0W20 AFE and OEM MZ690072
In: Quaker State FS 0W20 and MZ690072 filter

So far the engine is quieter with the QS so I'm probably gonna keep with it unless there's a good sale. Definitely not gonna use the afe again cuz I can hear a difference in engine noise.

I'm gonna try a fram filter on the Mirage next time cuz the OEM filters are kindve expensive and since I short trip it I have to change the oil every 3 months for warranty so it's gonna add up cost wise after awhile.

I had no idea the mirage was still around or if it were, it was shrunken down or the opposite of every other car out there. kind of cool.

They released it to the states in 2014 and it sold way more than Mitsubishi thought it would so after a couple years they did a refresh on it. Car reviewers hate them but the owners love it.

Also, my Mirage had 3740 miles on it so that's 1694 miles on the oil. Im trying to take more road trips with my neighbor to get more use out of the oil

First oil change I've done myself on this vehicle. The previous 3 were done at the dealer we bought it from. One irritation: one of the screws that holds in the bottom shield was overtightened and stripped. I could not get it out. Ended up having to cut through the rubber moulding that the screw goes through before getting into the shield so I could get it off. If the dealer was closer, I'd make them fix it under warranty, but they're 50 miles away and I had a small window of opportunity to get the oil changed myself. From here on out, I'm changing it myself (it's close enough to the end of the 3 year basic warranty anyway) so I'll just deal with it moving forward.

I sent the oil in to Blackstone for UOA as well as a virgin sample of the M1 EP 0W20. Will report back in a couple of weeks with results.
