Kept the Fram Ultra XG9837 in place, didn't really need to change the oil but I was bored and have plenty of oil plus winter is coming up figured a little bit thinner oil might be better if we have a bad winter, Not sure if I'll go 5000mi on this change or 7500mi, I think the OLM is programmed for like 7500-10000mi or something because the sump is so large on these engines.

Changed oil in my son's 2008 Ford Ranger 2.3 today. OCI was 13K with no oil consumption.

In: A bit over 4qts Super Tech High Mileage Full Synthetic SP 5w30 (5qt jug just a tad under 1qt mark remaining).

Checked dipstick when finished, oil level just above H; after about a 10 mi drive (mixed city/65mph+ highway), and 5 min cool down, oil level still just above H. So, I hope it's not overfilled.

On: Fram TG6607

181 days and ~2,234 mi. on oil and filter.
Denso Air filter from previous OC on 05/02/20 was checked, but not replaced.

I had been planning to use M1 EP HM 5W-30 this time and run it for 20k but I decided to use up some of my old SN Plus stock instead. Have several 5 gallon buckets to use up still.

I was also planning to take a sample for a UOA but I dumped the oil at 1 AM and forgot to save some 🙄

I will C&P the filter, though
