2014 BMW X1 2.0. Drained out the BMW 0w30 along with replacing the cheap Korean made filters the BMW dealer uses. Put in Total 5w40 Quartz 9000 along with a Mann oil and air filter.

2015 Honda Pilot. Was close to tripping the MM at 20%, but going on a trip next weekend so changed it. Valvoline Advanced Synthetic 0W-20, Bosch 3323 filter. About 7,000 miles since the last change.

The work van got an oil and filter change today @34049 miles. It's a work provided 2017 NV200. Out went Castrol Magnatec 5w30 with 5500ish miles. In went conventional Formula Shell 5w30 (from the bulk container label) or Havoline 5w30 (according to the receipt and it was a Havoline instant lube). It did not sound better with the new oil vs the old oil (I could tell a huge difference in the engine sound from 6000 mile Mobil 1 5w30 and the new Magnatec). Can't complain, it was $28.88 out the door with a free car wash and "tri color polish / clearcoat protectant / wax" and air dry with free self service vacuum.

This engine sounds like it's literally going to explode at any moment no matter what oil I use, so it is heretofore getting whatever is cheapest, except I'll probably get it changed with synthetic 0w30 for the winter to make it sound less clacky when it's cold.
