Post your latest oil change

I had in my car one quart of Rislone, two quarts of PYB 40 weight, and three of O'Reilley 5W-30 dino. It used an STP E-Core filter.

I ran it for 7500 miles and just replaced it with PYB 10W-30 dino with a MicroGard MGL3600 filter.

I will run it for 7500 miles as well.

PUP 5W-20 SN and FRAM Ultra XG10575

Interesting note--The front main seal had started leaking at about 25K and so I finally took it into the dealer to have it repaired. I planned to change the oil when I got the car back from Ford. However, today when I dumped the oil, I noticed it was relatively clean and then looked at the filter--it was an MC FL-500s. The dealer undoubtedly changed the oil as part of the repair--but did not tell me or reset the iOLM, which means there was less than 100 miles on the OC, but too late now. So no UOA on the M1 AFE (which is irritating because I wanted something to compare to the Pennzoil Ultra). I have two PUP OCs from Team Pennzoil with free UOAs on deck so I will have to compare the two oils when I run the next batch of M1 AFE.

I was looking forward to your results using the M1 AFE...bummer! Sorry to hear about the front seal. Question; I used the FU XG10575 on my 3.5 and I have to ask...did I mess up? Is the XG2 the correct filter for that engine?

My XG10575 was fine, but what made you go with the XG2? Is it bigger or does it have better specs? Thanks!

I personally believe in the 1000mi oil change on a new car to flush out a lot of the break-in materials.

2011 Mazda CX-7 2.3T

In: SuperTech 5w-20 and Defense filter

Out: Castrol Tection Extra 15w-40 and Defense filter

About 5 months and 6k kms.

Not much drained out despite using 15w-40 to address consumption of oil. Still strong smell of fuel too.

Out: Same as above (still looked good)

Oil was in service for about 28 months and about 2k kms. Will perform an oil and filter change in about 4k kms/4months or so to complete a cleaning phase; synthetic going forward from there.

In: Mobil 1 ESP 5W-30 & Fumoto Drain Valve.

Out: Factory original Mobil 1 ESP 5W-30.

Filter: Genuine VW Oil Filter

12 month change interval. Won't be putting more than 10k per year.

Dealership wanted $350 for a simple oil change. Did it myself for $100.00. Found a helpful indy shop to clear the service message on the dash display. No way around this without an expensive VCI tool. Only put about 4,500 miles on it since my purchase back in December. I wanted to go by the maintenance service interval just in case since it is still under warranty.

Out: Trop Artic 5w-30 and Napa gold filter

In: Mobil 1 AFE 0w-30 and Napa gold filter

Oil was in service for about 6,000 miles. Plan on sticking with M1 AFE from here on for an easy 10,000 mile OCI verified by UOA.

Filter might migrate to Bosch distance+ after the Napa golds are used up, unless the golds look good when I cut them open at the end of 10k.

The Pennzoil Platinum I used is SM rated. 4 quarts were from 2006 and 1 was from 2008. The oil filter is also NOS and since it's oversized, I used 5 quarts instead of 4.5. There were approx. 3200 hard miles on the fill of QHP.
