That’s a good oil, the GTX. However, when Walmart lowered the price of Edge to match the GTX price, I switched over to Edge.

Yes sir. Was purchased new by my wife’s grandparents. Only had 24k on it when we inherited it in 2021. I use it as my commute car. Which for the last year and a half is 54 miles each way all highway.Is this your daily driver?
The original alternator could have died because of old age at 200k+ miles but the spool valve is known to expedite that failure. If they didn't replace it, it would be good to do it asap. Use the OE Honda part ($$$) if you want a solid repair. Aftermarket spool valves/gaskets are iffy (I used Mahle gaskets the first time and they only lasted 10k miles before they leaked).@RyanY - Thanks for the heads up on the spool valve... looks like they installed a new alternator previously.
