New Cub Cadet XT1 LT46 with Kohler 22HP: First oil/filter change at 1.2 hours. Another oil/filter change today (5.6 hours) with AMSOIL Small Engine 10W-40. I also removed that crappy plastic OEM quick-release drain valve and installed a sturdy metal ball valve. It's a Grasshopper Part# 143610.

Those plastic drain valves always make me nervous. Way too easy to turn.

My daughter's 04 Grand Cherokee. Since it's hit 225k miles and has developed a slow rear main seal leak (that seaps onto the exhaust pipe) I've decided to use HDEO in it, at least during Spring through Fall.

Out: mix of Delvac 10w-30 and Kirkland 5w-30 and a Microgard filter in the FL1A size

In: Kirkland (made by Chevron) 15w-40 and an old NAPA 1515 (FL1A size) from my stash of Ford filters.

Yes! Another one is expected to be done at more or less 2500km on the clock.

Wasn't expecting that much to be honest. The early oil change in my Prius never showed that much debris.. i opened the filter and saw perhaps 5 or 6 flakes. Not much more if anything.. Japanese vs US assembly perhaps? Prius is made in Japan and the CX50 is built in Alabama.. do you know if the NA bound A25A are US or Japan built?

I'm planning on buying a Napa Gold filter for my neighbors Hyundai car. She has a jug of 5w20 Valvoline Maxlife Blend Red bottle waiting to go in it.

I'm at just over 4300 miles on this OCI with just over 120k on vehicle. I just added 1/4qt to top it to full line, he added 1/2 a short time ago.

That puts me at 3qts of "top off" over the 4300 miles. Maybe that's some of the Volatility that @JAG tested with the DELO 5W-40? Maybe it's the longer highway drives to Virginia and back? Maybe it's just my Accord? PCV was done very recently but it's always used some oil since I got it. Either way we'll keep it topped off as normal and I'll change it next time the car is back. This was the first run on the Delo if that has any impact like others experience when switching.

Sounds like a candidate for some Valvoline R&P. Piston rings might be stuck.

Changed the oil in this escape again for my parents.

Refilled with Mobil 5w20 syn hm again and a new MC 910s

Drained the mobil 5w20 hm and removed the MC filter

Filled and installed with this
