Miss Moneypenny got a new Hengst CAF this morning., Took 2 minutes. There's a hinged lid under the glovebox that's accessible from the passenger side footwell. The old filter slides easily out and the new one slides in with very little resistance. Not tools needed.
The new filter looks bigger than the old filter because it's closer to the lens than the old one. The old filter has over 20k miles on it and was in there for 14 months.

Today I replaced the EAF in the Mini. Very easy, barely an inconvenience. I had to loosen one slotted screw so I could pull the air intake snorkel off the air filter housing, I had to unclip the MAF sensor connector, and I had to loosen three T25 screws to open the air filter housing 3-minute job. I used a Hengst filter.
Like the CAF in my previous post, the EAF has over 20k miles on it and was last replaced 14 months ago.

Out: Fram Ultra air filter 22500 miles the foam pre filter was black. We had a lot of smoke from the Canadian fires and on my 2 trips to my sons I pass a blacktop and stone quarry.

AEM's 21-202DK Dryflow
Ordered with the K&N Intake,just tossed the oil filter away and using these instead. So,if you bought the 2013-2017 2.4L K&N intake, these filters fit and were recommended by AEM.I also keep an old Injen/Donaldson XX1010 wrapped in plastic in the trunk.

07 Yukon out and in with PremiumGuard# PC 9957 cabin air filter, 2 yrs old.
Just did both the cabin air filter and engine air filter on my 09 G5. Frams for both that I got on clearance at WM a couple of years ago; air=9969; cabin=10361.
Neither was in horrible shape; but this is probably the last change for these on this car, can’t see it lasting beyond 2 more years.
