09 Prius, ended the Prestone experiment early, since IMO RTV(most Toyota engines are “wet” meaning the cooling passages are sealed with RTV and it’s a pain to take the timing cover off) and 2-EHA don’t mix. 202K on the clock.

The other cars will still keep Prestone - the RTV usage is “low” and an easier job to reseal if need be.

1993 Prevost chassis was the last year for the 8V. Still a lot of them around. Love the 8V sound.

2001 Chevy S10 Blazer 4x4 with the 4.3 Vortec. 103k miles.

Out: Unknown nasty orange dexcool, looked rusty. The engine is made out of cast iron, so a little bit of rust in coolant isn’t too much of a concern.

Whole lot of nasty stuff on the bottom of the coolant overflow tank. Had to remove the overflow tank and scrubbed it clean with some purple power degreaser.

Took 10 gallons of distilled water to do a complete flush. It took 10 gallons to get a clean and clear drain.

In: Prestone All makes and models green coolant with distilled water. Bought the concentrate and mixed distilled water 50/50.

Coolant gauge actually reads cooler now. And thankfully, the heater core didn’t start leaking after the flush.

2018 Ford Endeavour run 100k kilometers (62k miles) - drain, flush with water and refill with stock ford orange coolant premix

2011 Honda City run 100k kilometers - drain, flush with water and replace with Hella Asian Blue Coolant concentrate

There is no drain plug @ engine block on this exact model.

It is a bit early, but I was in at the body shop for a fender bender anyway.

Next change will be at 150k miles.

I insist on no mixing of chemistry and Toyota fluid only re coolant.

'94 Chevy C1500. Starter died so I finally decided to replace the weeping freeze plug behind it. Filled with Napa green that was on sale.

Drain and fill with distilled until almost clear (4 rinse/repeats over 4 days)

Drain out 2ish gallons, in with 1.75 gallons Motorcraft yellow and topped off with distilled.

Need to do the same with the inverter.

A few weeks ago I had the system drained and replaced with fresh coolant The car was in the shop to have a power steering line replaced and while there I decided to have the coolant replaced as well. I had some Toyota pink stashed away and this seemed like a good time to make some needed shelf space. The coolant was changed a couple of years ago and I didn't like the thoroughness with which it was done. Now I'm happy and there's some freed-up shelf space just waiting for some containers of HPL
