Post Your Latest Coolant Change.

Modern conventional green has the same amount of silicates as G-05, i.e. much, much less than in years past. Nothing to worry about.

I should probably also do my sons 03 Monte Carlo SS and my 04 Impala SS IRL car. I also usually do radiator drain and fills on these every year. Radiators are clean as can be...

I changed coolant in my E430 a couple years ago, had a radiator replaced because of leak couple weeks ago, I had to add 1.2-1.3 gallon G-05 concentrate and equal amount of filter water which is about 85-90% of the capacity. It is good for 3-4 years now.

114k, new water pump (what a bear to R&R in those tight spaces!)
Out: last year's flush & fill of Zerex Asian Vehicle pink pre-mix
In: more Zerex Asian

I changed out my coolant a few weeks ago for h2o with Royal Purple's Purple Ice. So, naturally, my water pump died this weekend, forcing me to dump it. Replaced with h2o with Red Line Water Wetter.

It's a track car in Texas, no need for antifreeze!

I just replaced the OE Dexcool in my 2005 Ion with 29K.
I had Prestone dexcool and PEAK Long-Life and decided to use the PEAK (because it's easier to return the Prestone) and I think they are very similar.
The 7 year old Dexcool looked great.
I did three D&Rs with distilled water before adding the full strength PEAK.

'01 Toyota Tundra V8. Replaced the radiator due to fears about the ATF coil springing a leak. I got tired of swapping fluid every 2-3 yrs so I drained and refilled with the Toyota SLL Pink.

07 Kia Rondo, drained existing coolant, fill with distilled water, run engine, drain again, fill with distlled water, run engine, drain again, fill with new Kia coolant to 50% and top off with distilled water. good to go

1994 Ford Bronco - while replacing the radiator, I drained out some unknown mix of tap water and universal (green colored) coolant (and no idea how many miles it's been in there) Refilled with 50/50 distilled water and Napa brand regular green coolant.

Man I forgot to do that! If you hang around TS I remember posting some pics of the ATF rad coolant exchange fittings corroding and failing. I saw some rust around the fittings on my radiator so if the budget allows I will replace it (now).

What radiator are you using?

2011 Prius, 32k.

Had the dealer do a $60 1-gal drain and fill of the radiator only with Toyota SLL Pink. That only removed 50-60% of the coolant.

I will do the inverter coolant myself soon, as that is an entirely separate loop.

2006 Daihatsu/Toyota Terios 41000 miles. Toyota longlife coolant

Flushed with water.

Replaced with Prestone 50/50 and wynns radiator anti rust.
