A bit surprised I managed a bit better mpg as I've been riding state highways quite a bit this last tank. A lot of high rpm for miles, but it has been pretty hot and humid so I guess it's a bit easier to push through the thinner air.

Filled up the Maverick at BP/Amoco, 87 octane w/invigorate. Lots of highway miles on 2-lane US highways. The weather was very hot and VERY HUMID. You can really feel the pull on the hybrid. Once the interior cools off in the recirculate mode, the mileage is better on longer trips. Several trips were 2.5 miles trip to the store and 2.5 miles back. Going to the store netted 29.5 mpg and going back home was in the mid 40's mpg in the intense heat. In normal weather this would be 40 mpg going and mid 50's going home.

- Took a trip after filling, of 240.0 miles. Results when the weather is not in the 90's. I like them numbers better.
That's odd, I have never heard of a hybrid suffering from poor mileage in 90 degree weather. There's not really a reason why it would take more energy to push the car when it's that hot except for A/C, and A/C really doesn't take very much energy in the grand scheme of things. My old 2010 Prius would always get 10 to 20 percent better mileage in the summers, even with A/C use, at least in my experience.
When the A/C runs full bore in 95° temps the gasoline engine runs quite a bit more. plus the compressor's vanes are WFO.
I hear you I lose about 1/2 mpg in my Corolla cross hybrid with the 100plus afternoons and 80 degree mornings. Worth it not to use eco mode it’s to **** hot in the afternoon and I don’t have covered parking at work.
In the fall and winter I get 47 plus while right now it’s 46.6

Just did plugs myself (originals at 175k)
+ PCVRecently had shop do water pump, tstat and some hoses that failed pressure fill test. Rad held up.
2-ish years ago needed new TIPM.
62TE transmission needed new flexplate maybe 5 years ago. I have overloaded this poor van with paver bricks and various other stuff over the years. Transmission has been funky for a long time, but despite the noises and hard shifts and stumbles, just continues to run. I recently did 2x drain and fill with a bottle of Lubegard red which improved the overall situation but still no one would call it operating normally.
Just put 4 new Goodyear tires on it + a fresh AGM, but those are normal consumables. Otherwise no major work to the engine itself.
Has been on Valvoline Restore and Protect 5w30 for the last 15k or so, prior to that it was whatever oil was on sale + quickie lube changes.
We bought it early 2016 with 60k

HAH, 587 miles on 11.7 gallons, so 50.2 mpg.
Around 520 of these miles were highway with the cruise set in the young seventies with occasional excursions up to eighty or so passing lines of slower traffic.
We did use the AC but temps were moderate enough that we didn't need to run it full time.
I think this also reinforces my experience that even in highway driving a hybrid provides for better fuel economy.
There is no way on God's green earth that a 1.5t Accord could ever deliver a hair over 50 mpg for nearly 600 miles under any driving conditions and probably not even 40 mpg.

2017 Cadillac XTS V-Sport 3.6 twin turbo…supposed to get 16 MPG in the City…indicated miles per gallon was 20.2 in mixed driving but I calculated only 17.76 MPG…it is possible that my calculations were off as I learn in this new to me vehicle.

It was better than 38mpg, but I fill up usually to the half dollar or even. It stopped at right around 4.18 gallons, but anytime I can get it for under $4.00 or right around there, I usually give it a bit more. Anytime it puts out 37 mpg which C&D achieved or I just consider it icing on a cake.

Not hand calculated and from the in dash lie-o-meter, but it is usually not off by more than 1mpg or so.
From work to home, average speed of 38 mph.

27 mpg average....for a 6000 pound truck... I call that not bad.
