Filled up at Casey's. Was shocked at the worst MPG the Maverick has achieved. Two reasons, lot of 70mph driving in windy cross flow winds, and a suspect tank of fuel, that I feel was more like E30 than E10. Usually under these driving conditions I'm up around 37-38 mpg. Yes I may have under filled the fill from Hy-Vee that was being measured as one thought. Not sure about that as I always do the double click 20 seconds after the first. I find that method pretty consistent. Another is the fact that when I replaced it with the Casey's fuel, the mph shot up to the low 40's for the rest of todays trip home for 90 miles. Hy-Vee does sell E-30 in other locations. Maybe a oops happened.

My wife believes the Mazda CX50 gets the best fuel mileage of any car on the planet! I am the only one who has ever put gas in it. On December 16th, we'll have had it for a year and she's never had to put gas in it! She calls it her "Magic gas tank".
She's never run low, I just stop and top it off every week when we come home from shopping. It just works out for her, and now it's become some sick, twisted game to see how long she can drive it without ever putting gas in it! What's weird is, she's sucked me into this little game.:unsure:

LS430 -

Miles = 178.5 (mixed)
Gallons = 17.1
Mileage 10.4 mpg

Something is rotten in Denmark. EPA is 18/25 The LS430 is geared shorter than the LS400, but not 7mpg shorter.

I'll have to see what the current tankful yields. I suspect the miles are in error.

My 2020 Acura TLX 2.4L:
I was leery of the 36.8 mpg fuel computer calculation I've received over the past 7,200 miles until I did my own calculation of the last tank of Shell Premium used for 490 miles of mixed suburban and highway driving: 37.8 mpg. It clicks as high as 40 mpg during a 60 mph cruise. I believe this K24 motor truly likes top tier premium from Shell. And I only use 5w-20 full synthetic, not 0w-20.
