Post up your favorite brake pads. Im looking for some front pads for my jeep. I have napa pads, very dirt and seem to wear rotor and pad fast. I want a pad that will bite good, wear good and clean.

yes, +1

If you are happy with OE performance, I would stick with OE.

I look for decent cold bite combined with excellent hot performance w/ little or no fade until extremely high temps. I don't care about dust or rotor wear.

I myself like Project mu B-force, but they have to be hot to work really well. And they dust a lot and wear rotors pretty quickly.

I have had good luck with EBC Bluestuff NDX's, but it seems that based on caliper design, they don't work well for some applications, also lots of dust and rotor wear. I think the dust on these may be corrosive. I have them on two vehicles right now and suddenly on both vehicles the calipers and other metal parts are rusting/corroding.

I also had good luck with the Stoptech street performance pads. Same as above - dusty and wear through rotors pretty quick. Price is right.

I did not like the Hawk HPS, in my application they were scarily ineffective when cold/wet and not great when hot. Other people I have talked to have loved them, so it may also be a vehicle specific trait. I know some cars (some BMW's/Mercedes) will keep brake rotor temp up while driving to maintain braking performance, and can also adjust line pressure or boost to keep pedal feel consistent at temperature extremes.

I don't know what OE pads are like for the Jeep, but if they worked for you, it would be a safe choice.

Have mostly used durlast... but used some raybestos pro grade on the last pads I did. So far I like those better than duralast. Can't wait to try raybestos advance tech.

Personal favorite:

bites - Axxis / PBR Ultimate
dust - OEM ceramic
cost - Amazon / ebay whatever name brand is on sale
overall except dust - Performance Friction Carbon Metallic, Hawk HPS

Mine are Wagner Thermoquiet Semi Metallic pads with premium Wagner rotors and I just had mine put on last week and still working awesome and love them they are even better then the ones on my car which were pretty good to begin with though I do not know what they were because they were on it when I bought the car 3 yrs ago. So far they are awesome.

I put Hawk HPS pads on my 2008 xB but it is too early to tell how much I like them as they are still bedding in. Only had them in 250 miles or so since I installed them (almost all freeway, though).

But so far, so good... Using with powerslot rotors. They do "chirp" though when you come to a complete stop, but silent any other time.

I will update my opinion in a few more weeks!
