That seems to be Canadian Tire's pricing strategy for most things, so I would imagine they influence the market in that regard.Pricing of oil in Canada is weird. The regular price is so high but it's always on sale for like 50% off, I don't know why they just don't price it lower in the first place.

Try about $120 for a 5l jug. This was a few years ago in a German brick and mortar, you can buy online cheaper but many people dont trust it and want it from an "real" store.
94.99 Euro for ESP 5w30 and 99.99 Euro for the Castrol. Sorry for the poor picture.

Yes its crazy, I was buying Castrol 10w60 RS for 29 euro for a 4L jug online, it was 95 in the store.The german online oil stores area among the cheapest in europe. The irony!
