Possible tire issue Continental LX25

I went from continental extreme contacts to Michelin primacy’s. Not that that fact matters, but I was close to going to Costco to ask my options due to the same thing you’re describing. My car wandered and couldn’t hold a straight line for a few weeks after install. I checked pressure, they had it spot on. I upped the pressure as I usually run 2 pounds over or so, it got worse. Then the condition suddenly went away….maybe give them a bit to break in?

Yeah that just sounds like tread squirm on a new set of tires.

I've had that and it's pretty wild how drastic it can feel.

I’ve been a mechanic and installed many tires over the past 20+ years but never experienced that till my own car this last set of tires, but googling did show me it’s supposedly a thing.

Had my LX-25's rotated a few weeks ago. For the first few hundred miles afterwards they sang several different tunes on old concrete roads. 700 miles later they are quiet as a mouse. They have 16K on them. They have been rotated 3 times.

The LX25 is a heavier tire with a stiffer sidewall. It isn't your imagination but probably go with a passenger car tire to get the feel you want. I switched from the LX25 to the truecontact and couldn't be happier.
