I just put on LX25's on my 2019 Q5 to replace some Michelins. I took a 400 mile road trip and tires were fine. On one stretch of road by my house I feel every ripple in the road to the point it is annoying. I had Continentals on my 2018 Q5 and the tires were fantastic. I purchased and installed tires at Sams Club if that matter. What is causing this.

Over-inflated?

Check your pressures. If it’s too high, you’ll have more road feel.

A pound or two at the most, could it be that critical? I always run this car a pound or two over and never had a problem with either the 2018 on Continentals or Michelin on the 2019.
Nah, a pound or two high shouldn’t do that.

I just checked tire pressures they are 1/2 pound under recommended tire pressure 32.5 front 35.5 rear. Factory spec is 33/36.

is this car top secret?

That stretch of road, you said they were fine otherwise

In my 2025 Q5 the normal load tire pressure is 29psi front and rear (according to the owners manual). Full load is 33 front and 36 rear. On 31 front and rear it rides like a dream. 255/45 20 Pirelli Scorpion Verde A/S. Check the owners manual.

Would you describe it as a wandering of sorts? I've heard of LX25s doing this on multiple vehicles, mine included. It will improve given some more time.

I went from continental extreme contacts to Michelin primacy’s. Not that that fact matters, but I was close to going to Costco to ask my options due to the same thing you’re describing. My car wandered and couldn’t hold a straight line for a few weeks after install. I checked pressure, they had it spot on. I upped the pressure as I usually run 2 pounds over or so, it got worse. Then the condition suddenly went away….maybe give them a bit to break in?

what is strange is I have been on that road hundreds of times and never noticed.
Oops I am having issue with eyeball.
They should have some kind of satisfaction guarantee.
on a Q5. I would probably want something sportier than an lx25. The pirellis I put on the outback were good when the road was good and the road wasn't good. They were terrible. The dws06+ actually ride better.

If your Q5 is anything like my Q3, the ride is hard anyway. The air pressure got down below 30 and it still rode hard.

I was going by sticker on the front drivers inner door. I will check the manual thanks. Weird I have been running 33/36 for a combined 85k miles on my 2018 &2019 Q5s with no prior issues which lends me to believe this isn't the issue, but I will try it

No there isn't any wandering.
