I took my wife's 2021 VW Jetta into our local VW dealer today for a transmission fluid drain and refill. It has an 8 speed Aisin transmission (not DSG). I was quoted $299 for the service but upon payment I was told it would be $450. I questioned the amount and the service advisor was called. They did correct the payment amount so I asked why the discrepancy and they said "they hit the wrong button". When I later reviewed by paperwork it said "deleted operation(s) - DSG transmission service". Is it possible they used the incorrect fluid thereby charging me for the more expensive DSG service? I imagine the service advisor had the incorrect service in the entire time, but I'd like to think the techs in the back would have recognized this is a standard Jetta (non GLI) and that they would have performed the correct procedure with the right fluid, but I don't know these days.
