Portable Jump Starter

I have a "Clore Automotive Jump-N-Carry JNC770R 1700 Peak Amp Premium 12 Volt Jump Starter"

Works great, and carry it around in my beater as a just in case.

I did run it down and didn't charge it for a few months, then it wouldn't take a charge. IIRc there was some trick where you had to put it in a freezer and then wire up a light bulb to it to mimic resistance to take a charge after pulling it out of the freezer. Worked fine after that.

Avoid NEXPOW and Clore JNC770R. My Clore JNC770r had a bad circuit board that went after three or four jumps. The warranty is essentially just a send in and replace your old unit type of warranty. Turns out that round trip shipping is about the cost of a new unit. The NEXPOW lasted one total jump of a riding lawn mower.

If you let them go down to say, 50-70% like using them for charging, etc (most have options to charge phones and whatnot), they will last a long time. Right now mine is at 80%. Still jumps just fine.
And this because using it prolongs the life of the battery? Like if you just charge to 100% and never touch the lifespan is lower?
