Looking for a good Jump Starter Box

Hello BITOG,

I'm thinking it would be good insurance to purchase one of those portable backup power source/jump starter boxes to keep in my trunk if the battery goes dead in my cars.

Does anybody here have any preferences/experience with regards to these items? I don't really want one of the high end ones that has all sorts of power plugs included since they tend to be more money of course if I can find a good deal on one that has that, I wouldn't complain

I've been looking at sites like Amazon and I see several models there but I know there are several other brands available as well. I'm trying to keep the budget under the $100 mark.

Go to a place like pep boys or autozone a lot of jump starters for sale as low as 40 dollars

I don't know how well they work but I really like those ones that you can charge via A/C or the cigarette lighter in your car, and you can actually jumpstart your car using the cigarette lighter adapter built-into the charger. I saw it at Target and it was made by Black & Decker. It can also be used as a direct AC outlet, so if you need to charge your cell-phone and you forgot your car charger, you can do that in the car, etc. I've been wanting to get one of those for a long time, if they work as good as they look, I'd get one of those!

I like my Black and Decker jump starter/inverter/flashlight that I bought at Wal Mart for $100.
