Pool owners - what say you?

As a former pool owner, I say fill that thing up with dirt and plant a vegetable garden in it.

The city does not even allow us to bury them - full destruction only
Ironically - I know where some folks (long gone) had a pool and once the kids were grown they buried it.
On that rise today - sits an above ground pool

Large cartridge filter and a Robotic Pool Cleaner.
Hardly ever have anything to wash as the robot picks it up

Same here. Even after 6 months the cartridges are pretty clean

Think I’m committed to cartridge filters - In fact, back washing DE to sewers is becoming a no-no - matter of time.

My pool is 27k - The internet ranges from 200-400 SF -
Currently looking at a twin Hayward C150S - single T feeding both.
I no longer want a large vessel (o-ring leaks) - tired of the expensive multi position valves … Small enough filters to handle/clean …
Does 300 SF seem like enough ? - They look so easy to clean or just get new filters after a while …

Yeah - I know - but the new ones have some good specs … and competition over the filters - one reason I’m willing to buy Hayward with others half as much …

Hoping for 10 without flocculants … But, we will have lead time to get it ready for visitors - I don’t get in it anymore myself …
My wife is a Lilly pad (floats/suns LoL) …
I’m beat up with skin cancer anyway …

We did not get into brands and models much in this thread - was about to pull the trigger on a twin Hayward setup - then I studied the AquaStar "Pipeline Filters". The oldest feedback I found on them was 2021 - but the company has been doing injection molding for many years. These HD units were years on the flow loops to get to where they claim to beat filters twice the size (and complexity).
Only one company makes the special cartridges - so if I'm happy with the unit - will order spares soon. (easy to clean).
The 27,000 matches my pool on the commercial level - but just ordered the 35,000 to be safe.
Link is a good read and video's about the small made in USA company were interesting.
Also read where some folks were having Hayward "cans" crack ... So much $$$$ too*.
*Several hundred USD less than the Hayward twin and much easier to "plumb".
