I wonder if Boxcartommie and I agree on the more robust ester oils like Redline and Motul because we drive the mountain passes in Colorado.

I think our driving environment here in Colorado gives the oil a good workout.

I have a bunch of the previous generation of Havoline 5W20, 5W30 and 10W30 that I obtained from Advanced Auto clearanced.

I have about three cases of Pennzoil 5W20 that I also got at AA on sale for $1.68/quart.

I have 12 quarts of Pennzoil Plat 5W30 that I got BoGo @AA.

I have a 1 gallon jug of SuperTech 5W30 sythetic and 76 oz remaining in a 1 gallon jug of SuperTech 15W40 that is left over from filling the mower and generator for the summer season.

I think I have a couple of quarts of AA HD30 floating around as well. I'll probably use that to fill the mower at the end of the season and the first few cuts of the spring.

Always used Pennzoil 5w30 maybe I just like Yellow.
GC 0w30 in my 2002 Tundra
PP 5w-20 In my 2005 Civic
Formula Shell 10w-40 in my 1993 Jeep.

EDIT! I ran a search of coffee's posts and I didn't find any threads where he announced the switch to 5W-20. He didn't ask for our permission either.

Sorry for the confusion...my list includes some of my favorite oils that I am currently using.

Feel free to list more than one oil, and the choices are wide open...not just among those that I like.

I nearly listed Amsoil 0w-20, 5w-40 Euro...and a few others; but I haven't used all of them yet.
