I knew they 'looked' identical, but didn't know they filtered the same? Are the specs the same???
If you view river_rats bench testing, based on his testing they are, with exception of the P1's color/texture can, the same. Also, have the same efficiency rating , 99.9%. The BP's are just more difficult to find with the P1's promo pricing at AAP and Kmart.

Ah, interesting. Well, to me there was less difference between 2 and 3 in my levels compared to 1 to 2 quality differences, anyway. Thanks for the catch. Ironically, I thought of putting the BP on line #2 as well.

Whatever I can get on sale for about two bucks. As long as it's not a Super Tech e-core.

Right now my dwindling stash consists of Quaker State filters (basically Puro Classic clones). Run them for 9,000 miles.. get your money's worth.

i had a good run with a purolator pureone.

next will be a bosch distance plus which is the same but a thicker case, which i wont mind with my filter being relocated closer to the ground.

pureone-good bang for the buck for a much better than average filter.

I believe the Pure One caseing is thinner than the MC.
