This is funny. I see quotes all the time in my line of business. I've seen people pay over $10,000 for a standard 40 gallon replacement. Why? Because that company has fancy commercials. A local guy I know will do it for total strangers for $2,400. Get multiple quotes!!

Whether its plumbing or HVAC, people sometimes have no choice than to overpay to get major problem resolved.

Luckily I found an HVAC guy thats a one man show and all cash business with reasonable rates.

Contractors charge one of two ways time and material or flat rate. Most have gone to flat rate. Flat rate is a profit generator.

Right. Most of these thieves can’t justify their billable rate. And the homeowners just eat it. If they had to do this with any actual contract they wouldn’t be able to justify their costs.
