PLUG + PATCH : New tire or keep ?

There's also some outer edge wear on one side . Likely to be placed on rear of vehicle , were on front passenger side when a screw pierced it . Replacing winter tires .

Right in the center of the tread like that? And it was holding air before it came off? Keep. I've had tires platched that way that went another 30k miles.

The edge wear is another matter. You might want to replace it for that, but don't worry about the patch.
 
If it's in the tread, you might be able to patch it. If it's anywhere near the sidewall, get a new tire. Not worth to push it.
 
a properly installed from the inside plug patch is fine as long as the tyres is good to better IMO. had about 5 in one almost new costly BFG years ago as "some" nails with plastic washers were ALL over the road on a 2 lane bridge + i used the tyre until it wore out
 
Still debating on using the tire with the plug and patch :unsure: . The outside of same tire . 8/32s left . Thoughts ?
