In August, my wife and I are traveling to Croatia, then Italy. Croatia, like most of Europe, uses a type 'C' outlet, which is 2 circular prongs, roughly 4mm diameter, 19mm on center. No problems there. Italy however, from what I've researched, uses a combination of type 'C' and type 'L' outlets, the latter being the same spec, with the difference being that there is a ground prong in between the 2 outer prongs. Now, from what I've gathered, a type 'C' plug WILL plug into a type 'L' outlet; it just leaves the ground prong empty, which is fine because we'll just be charging one phone and a camera battery (which can plug into 230v/50 Hz out of the box). Am I good just buying a few type 'C' adapters, and having them work on both outlet types? My wife also has a travel hair dryer, which does have a ground prong, but doesn't actually need it to function. The adapters in question can handle the current draw of the dryer as well.
