Please pray for the victims involved in a Northeast Philadelphia plane crash. A home camera captured the horrendously large fireball. It's disheartening to see this after what happened a few days ago.

Crash at 2:04 If you look closely it looks like it nose dived very fast? Reports say it was near Roosevelt mall and that 6 have sadly died along with homes catching fire as well. My heart goes out for the people of that community.

It appears it was a Learjet 55 with two people on board which I presume were the pilots. It can't possibly be an intentional maneuver given that there are two pilots and no cockpit door from what I can look up.

Could it be that the horizontal stabilizer and/or elevators failed? I don't want to believe this was a suicide dive. Or could it possibly be that a smaller we don't know about has hit the rear of the jet making it lose control like that? I believe an accident just like has happened before in LA.

The plane departed NE Philadelphia headed towards Mississippi so it was full of fuel. The Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy states there were 6 on board but that the FAA only had record of 2. New info says it was on a medical assignment and had a child patient. Awful to think about.

It was a Bombardier Learjet model 55 on route to Branson, Missouri.

It was a Jet Rescue Air Ambulance, which provides global air ambulance services. Six people were on board the plane and no one survived.

One door camera showed it to be on fire before it contacted the ground and then burst into flames.

There have been reports that it crashed into row houses. That's not good if it's true.

When we lived in St. Louis my wife was a Flying nurse and flew with patients on the St. Louis, Nashville, Houston, Nicaragua, and Mexico routes on the Learjet 35 series, so this hits close to home. Sometimes family members were also on board during these flights.

One thing they stressed was the proper application and administration of oxygen to patients during all phases of flight in order to avoid an enriched oxygen atmosphere within the cabin.

True to an extent, but will likely still have some control compared to a plane where there's NO control of the end result. Just never been that impressed with air travel.

So you're basically saying you don't feel "safe" flying, because you yourself are not controlling your own destiny. Which in itself is a type of phobia. And it has nothing to do with your actual safety.

The facts of the matter are, this crash was the first U.S. airline incident that resulted in loss of life in over 15 YEARS. Motorists die on our nation's highways at the rate of over 40,000 each and every year.... So over the last 15 years that amounts to roughly 600,000+ people.

600,000 to zero is a fairly astounding comparison. Fear of flying is not uncommon. One of the best examples of it was John Madden. He flew when he was the coach of the Oakland Raiders, only because he had to. But he said he never got over the fear.

When he became a play by play announcer he went everywhere in a beautifully outfitted tour bus. And he said he would never get on another plane again..... And he never did. While his actions solved his fear of flying, they did absolutely did nothing to make him safer. In fact, it was just the opposite.
