When doing a MMO (or other chemical of choice) piston soak, can anything be inferred about the health of an engine based on how long it takes the MMO to soak through? I've argued myself into a stalemate, so am looking for opinions on the "right" answer...

Drains quick (say 12 hours): One can argue there is no goop plugging the ring gaps, etc. But if liquid goes through this quickly, does this mean that compression and oil can go through too?

Drains slow: Rings are definitly sealing. But is it a bunch of buildup doing it, or is it because the rings in good condition?

I'd appreciate any insights. I'm on day 2 of a MMO soak on an old Briggs 8 hp IC and the level has not moved hardly at all. Just curious what that may or may not mean.
