I prefer the 3M pinstripe for the best jobs. They look painted on when your done but, may be sorta unforgiving when trying to apply.
Don't stretch the pinstripe when applying. Lay it down easy and if you have to pick it up in order to make the stripe straight, this is where it can be unforgiving. When done slowly and properly and pressed down on the paint surface, it actually looks great.
The 3M striping is a bit thinner than other brands and when finaly pressed down onto the paint, it actually picks up the paints texture(orange peel) and looks as if it's a painted stripe.
Do this in a well lighted area and not on a breezy day or dusty area.
