FYI,
There is a brand of coolant sold here in Canada called "NASCAR" antifreeze that starts out pink, and when it is spent, it turns orange.
I am told it is just a re-colored ethylene glycol (old school) antifreeze with some kind of chemical that changes color added. I'm sure this antifreeze is available in the US likely under different names, and it is possible that this is what is in your car.
