wow dude you really mangled that canister.
what did you use to cut it?
i took one apart the other night that i took off my explorer. i simply cut it along the seam on the open end of the filter and it all dropped right out.

and i cut it with a saw zaw
A Ginsu? Did you do like in the commercial and slice a tomato paper-thin afterwards?
For as cut up as the cannister is, kudos to you on not slicing up the element. I don't think I would have done as clean a job.
