Your vehicle sounds like the perfect candidate for extended OCIs. Not a turbo. Driven mostly highway miles, including long distance travels. It’s also going to see cold enough winters to opt in for 0w rated oils. If you are a thicker is better person, no issue upping to 0w-30…

For me, I’d go with Amsoil SS 0w-20 and a Premium Guard filter such as a CarQuest Premium; 99.5% at 20 micron with the construction quality capable of extended OCIs. (Until fully synthetic media filters have fixed the leaking bypass seal issues)

Perform a UOA at 1 Year or 15k miles. If all looks good, continue as is OR cut back the interval. On the safer side, can begin with a sample at 10k miles before extending it out but it’s a perfect candidate for longer OCIs and picking an extended interval formulated oil ensures “run clean” repeatability.

I also have the older gold bottles of QS Ultimate 0w20 and 5w30

I also have black bottle PUP in all flavors

Given your stash, it could make most sense to just run with your highest end synthetics most capable of extended intervals. I feel like 7.5k on anything you have can repeatedly make that mileage. I still see longterm capability doubling that on Amsoil Signature or HPL PP.

Magnatec with OG Ultra always did 10k runs in my previous ones. This is my fifth. So I agree...very easy on oil..

I have a few cases of this but I'm on the fence with it. Old reviews here are not very informative and I'm just not feeling it...

Whatever is thicker than 20 in your stash and either rp or old ultra is great.

I used the last of my QS 5w-40 in the outlander sport and it shut up to where I can't hear it go up the driveway like when it did with quick lube 0w-20. I don't know what oil it had but it made the engine so buzzy sounding. Got a carquest premium for it too.

I understand why many call Mitsubishi engines unrefined but they're refined in that they're very reliable. They just didn't invest into quieting it up like gm did with the gen 4 (but those engines get quieter still with thicker like with my 2021) but using thicker in these Mitsubishi mills shuts them up good.

I'm with you on that one, you've already got some other really choice stuff in your stash to use I'd not use that either.
Thanks...just to make you feel better my Walmart groceries just got here via a 40 year old woman in a Black Mustang GT.....convertible....

The 24s don't make that noise anymore and I know what you are talking about. My old 2014 when new sounded like it had a slight exhaust leak but didn't...
Very smooth and quiet now....

I wonder what they changed. I checked to see if they changed the engine and it seems they haven't as the power output looks the same as does the engine code which is good since it's a proven reliable engine and deserves to live for as long as possible and maybe it will since the epa corporate goal got rolled back to 30 something I think.

Maybe they added more sound insulation or did a micro update to the engine that isn't showing up. I wouldn't say mine sounds like it has an exhaust leak or at least the ones I know like in my old gm's which is a sharp tick unless it's a very mellow and almost bassy kind of hum/buzz.

They revised the CVT and they don't mention any hp gain but it's there.
Mpgs are up and it is really improved especially off the line and even interstate driving... a big change...

My Amazon grocery order just arrived via a BIG Burly Dude. Should have left him a cold one. It looked like he had been moving fast for a while on the Ring camera. It was warm here today.
