No matter how you figure its still all the employers property.
Unless you have express permission from the supervisor to used leftover oil in your personal vehicle I'd be careful, ask first, even if you know/think its okay. Moreover, pocketing loose items found in used cars is considered theft of found property.
All minor stuff no doubt, but nonetheless can get you canned or worse if someone wanted to make trouble for you.
