Used to be gpas work truck and it still does work on occasion. Gpa made sure it was pre-dented.

Love these Dakotas. A shop I used to work at had a beige one with the 3.9L and automatic. That was a nice highway cruiser, as well as a burnout machine, and a heck of a scrap hauler. Had a bed full of engines and didn't break a sweat. Everyone in the shop drove like it owed us money, yet that little Dakota didn't care and just kept on going and going. Couldn't kill the thing.

Pretty much agree but the auto trans is killing it for me. Around town it's pretty good but on the highway any incline it has to downshift and it screams. Unfortunately most of it's tanks involve the highway and we're looking at land so that'll be a weekly chore. That's the positive about the higher number of gears today. Everything else is pretty good, rides just like the new Tacoma I drove couple weeks ago.

I noticed one of the BHPH lots had a Frontier with a contractors cap on it--somewhat tempting, my last truck had a cap and I liked the setup, but a contactors cap comes with built-in toolboxes, the side doors open to shelving. A place for all the junk that normally is otherwise floating around in my vehicles.

I was always surprised that Tim "the Toolman" Taylor didn't drive a 1 ton utility truck. A toolbox on wheels.
