Just picked up 15L of Petro Canada Supreme 5w-20 API-SN for my next oil change on my 2007 Harley Davidson F150 5.4L and my 2006 Ford Escape 3.0L. They did not have the synthetic one there and would not budge in the price...

Both vehicles are on Motorcraft 5w-20 API-SN Canadian spec which is apparently made by esso. They get 10000km oci's.

The new oil cost me $5.21 a liter. Figured I would buy Canadian this time and based on what others have said it shoul be a good oil. Maybe better then the XOM sourced Motorcraft?

Now to drive enough to be ready for the oil changes. May be a couple months before its time. But I'll have a few extra liters of the new oil that maybe I'll use as a top up if needed.

I will be doing a uoa on the Motorcraft 5w-20 API-SN once I hit 10k. Sadly I have another 8k to go. I think I will do one on the Petro Canada oil as well when the time comes for a good comparison. It will be a while though.

I am considering a VOA & UOA on the 0w30 in the G6, both from the same box. Unfortunately if I do I will likely use Toromont which doesn't test for Calcium and maybe Boron.

advocate, I think you made a good choice. I think PC has some good products. Will be interesting to see the two UOAs though.

Good choice. I'm going to use PetroCanada 5w-20 full synthetic for future oil changes in my 2009 Ram Hemi. I believe PC makes very good products. I replaced the OEM transmission fluid in my BMW 740iL with PetroCanada's DuraDrive ATF 18 months ago and the tranny has never shifted better. Not to mention the PC product was one-third the price of the OEM ATF.

I thought about the 0 winter grades but they did not have any at the distributer. Seems pretty similar to the 5w-20 though. The 5w-20 seemed more readily available in my area. And a little cheaper too. Plus by the time I will be changing the oil winter will be pretty much over. The -45celcius pour point is a lot nicer then the -31celcius XOM sourced Motorcraft. To me it seems like a lighter 5w-20. So I did not see too much need to try out a 0w20/30 just yet.

XM sourced Motorcraft? What does that mean?

Cant wait to see an uoa for the Supreme 5w20.

I have a few quarts on the shelves that I am planning to use :P

PC makes great oils. I got some awesome UOA's out of it on my old Cavalier.

I've never paid for it at a gas station; it was the bulk oil at the oil-changing place I went to.

Stopped at Toromont/Cat last night on my way home and put in a virgin sample, may have the results tomorrow. Probably into March for the UOA though.

Yes, Petro-Canada Supreme Synthetic 0w30, SN/GF-5. Might end up doing one on the Duron 0w30 later in the year too.
