One of the defroster lines on my Mustang was not working. I used a test light and located the point at which the line was using continuity. I saw a very thin break/crack in the line, which was most likely due to the belt on the child seat being thrown to the back for the anchor.
The kit comes with pieces to also reattach a disconnected tab.
I didn't need it.
It comes with a template with a thin opening to paint on the solution that will bridge the electricity, so that it will again defrost. Paint it over a few times, wait a half hour, remove template, and wait 24 hrs. to use the defroster again. Worked like a charm, but I should not that the solution only lasts about 5 years if you are always cleaning your windows from the inside. This is the second time I used it.
I would highly recommend it. I am not a handy guy, but this was easy. I just wish it wasn't the last line on the bottom on a fastback style window, as I was a bit contorted!
