Performance Metal Flow Air Filter.......

Hello guys,

Please comment on the Metal Flow kind of Air Filter? (Drop-in type) It is made up of fine stainless steel wire gauze. I think no doubt about the Air Flow but worry about the Dust Filtering capability.

oem style filters are usually the best choice in air filters.

I've wondered about those metal filters myself, although I don't have any experience with them. As long as they had a thin film of oil on the wire mesh, I'd think they would do as good a job as the oiled cotton or foam types......

Last time I saw something on these it said they were horribly inefficient. I'd steer clear.

Maybe OK for Cabin Air (I see e-bay knock-offs), but I wouldn't use one for engine. I've never seen one intended for engine. Do you have any product links? I'd like to see one.
