Pentius UFXL PLXL7317 C&P

It is a shame that American made filters look like the ones that should be coming from overseas. I'm going to use up my FRAM/Champ stash for my vehicles that require a spin on and will likely use Pentius after that for those applications. Mostly South Korean made instead of Chinese made for the most part. The efficiency and build quality combo of Pentius and PG look better than the American companies right now. At least I can use American made adequately efficient cartridge filters on my other vehicles if First Brands doesn't mess those up.

Taken off at 5k miles into my Civics 1st HPL run. Going to run it for 10k, then send in a sample. Everything looked very clean. Filter easily could have held up to 10k on this motor. My last Fram Endurance went on for the remainder of the oci, & didn't even need to top off. Louvers or holes?

Holes. Not sure if you looked at the pic's, but there are 2 that clearly show the core. Here are the same pic's with red circles drawn around the core to clarify.

I ordered a 12 pack of these off Amazon. Price is up to $59 now, though, so about $5/each. Gonna use these with Kirkland oil, for $20 oil & filter changes.
You can't go wrong with Kirkland oil. Even though I purchased a 12 pack of the Pentius, I am starting to like the Super Tech ST6607 for it's reduced cost and also the 6607 size is smaller so better for the earth (less filter waste in landfills) as I do 16 oil changes a year across my 4 vehicles. I've been using the Walmart store brand for everything I buy. Saves a significant $ amount annually.

I bought Pentius 6607's, but returned them, and bought the 7317. Pretty sure they would have been just fine for my use case.

For a 5,000 mile OCI, which is the max I ever do, the ST6607 seems perfectly fine for my Honda Odysseys.
I've been using the Walmart Super Tech ST6607 for a few OCI, and no issues to report.

I am hoping at some point that Walmart contracts with a different company for their Super Tech oil filters
as I have lost confidence in First Brands / Champ labs.
