It's possible that Puro was low bidder for the account. It's also possible they wanted to spec a metal endcap design, Pz and QS filters are both now Purolator made. Whatever the reason, unlike the new Microgard, it's a good move, IMO.
And after reading the Puro/Pz filter thread on the mech board, I'm impressed with Puro's professional/timely response to the situation. I wonder if Honeywell would have been as reponsive.
